Liam Kowal, the 15-month-old son of MMA fighter Marcus Kowal and Mishel Eder, died last week after an alleged drunk driver hit the toddler in a Hawthorne crosswalk. One day after the accident, doctors declared Liam brain dead, at which point Kowal and Eder decided to take the boy off life support so that his organs could be donated.
According to obtained police reports, Roger Clinton (Hillary Clinton's brother-in-law) had a blood-alcohol level of 0.23 following his arrest for driving under the influence in Redondo Beach last month. Clinton was pulled over on June 5th by police after a caller reported a reckless driver and law enforcement saw Clinton's car speeding and swerving on Pacific Coast Highway.
Three men died early Friday morning after a three-vehicle crash on the 405 freeway in Carson. The crash was initiated by a suspected drunken driver around 1 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the 405 at Wilmington Avenue. The freeway was shut down until early morning when workers cleared the wreckage.

According to the study, Los Angeles drivers spend an average of 81 hours in freeway traffic each year - about five less hours per year than Washington D.C. and San Francisco, the second and third worst traffic cities in the United States, respectively.
