The community in the neighborhood of San Gabriel Valley was rocked by the news that two people were killed in a reported domestic violence incident. Both of them were stabbed, and the police think that the person who killed them was related to them in some fashion. San Gabriel Valley is a neighborhood in Pasadena, California.
The call to the police came in at 6:19 in the morning. The man who had been stabbed actually made the call; he said that he and a woman who lived there had both been hurt. He also told the police by name who had done it, leading them to believe that it was a domestic violence case since that person was a relative. Exactly how they were related was not reported.
The man who was attacked was in his 50s, while the alleged attacker was reported to be in his 30s.
Police have already found the man they believe is responsible for the assault. He had been hurt in the fight, though the exact extent of his injuries was not reported. Police did say that there was evidence -- such as blood that was on the man -- to show that he was involved. He had left the scene on foot. Police picked him up to get him medical treatment, and then they made the arrest.
Both victims were taken to the hospital to be treated, but they both passed away from their injuries.
When alleged violence in the home leads to an arrest, it is crucial that those who have been accused know exactly what rights he or she has and what legal options he or she can exercise.
